had several occasions where people bought us food (ice cream, paid for
our breakfast at the chatter box cafe, cooler filled with fruit given
to us by the gas station lady..). Everyone was so kind and the cars,
trucks,and large farm machinery always moved way over for us on the
road. People were kind, just be sure not to talk politics with them.
Now for some misconceptions about Kansas:
Kansas is not flat. The western part is, you can see from one town to
the next, but a couple days in and it is more rolling than flat.
Prevailing wind most definitely did not seem to be coming from the
west...more of a southeast..
And lastly, people told us "there is nothing in Kansas!" they
apparently have not been to Nevada.
